Educational Trust
Wester Hailes LPT Educational Trust Fund was set up in 2007 by Wester Hailes Land & Property Development Company Ltd and aims to advance the education of local young people from the Wester Hailes community by providing grants to help meet the cost of books and/or other educational materials, fees and/or living expenses.
To date Wester Hailes Land & Property Development Company Ltd has donated £243,110 to the Trust.

“Receiving the Wester Hailes LPT Educational Trust grant made my time at University far more productive and enjoyable. There are so many costs involved in further education, such as transport, materials and work experience, so knowing I had extra funding coming in made a huge difference. I was able to work less hours in a job that was relevant to my course, which resulted in several other job offers straight out of University. I am so thankful for the support given by the Trust, which helped me see my Wester Hailes roots as a springboard, rather than a disadvantage”.
